MOFCOM/CHINA-GOVERNMENT OF RWANDA SCHOLARSHIPS ACADEMIC YEAR 2023
The Higher Education Council (HEC) wishes to inform the public that through the Bilateral Cooperation between the Government of Rwanda and the Peoples Republic of China, the later has (through the Chinese Ministry of Commerce) offered scholarships for Masters and Doctorate (PhD) programs.
Interested candidates should submit all the following application documents:
Application letter addressed to the Director General of HEC.
Photocopy of a valid Passport (personal regular passport).
- Curriculum Vitae in English, including personal info, Education background since high school and work experience.
Original-notified certificate/degree.
- Notified transcripts, indicating the list of all courses taken and all scores.
- Two recommendation letters are required: one by a superior in the institution where applicant works and the other by a professor who knows well the applicant.
Personal statement in English and 1,000 words in length. It shall cover such essential elements as applicant’s academic background, work experience, achievements, and career plans.
- The above-mentioned application documents will be submitted online to HEC MIS using
the link: not later than 18/04/2023.
- Candidates are requested to apply for courses relevant to their previous University qualifications and should exactly indicate the course as it is on the list of courses.
- Candidates should have at last second-class upper division in the relevant field.
- Candidates are requested to select one of the thirty (38) Leading Chinese Universities and the program/courses to be pursued at University (list of Universities and programs attached).
- This scholarship covers all costs of study including tuition fees, living allowance, accommodation, international travel and transport within China, and medical care. Any other extra expenses that are associated, or which may arise in due course will be covered personally by the candidates themselves.
- Only complete application documents will be reviewed.
